Founded in 2001, the Red Zone Knife Defense Program has since become what many people refer to as the gold standard for realistic edged weapons defense.
This program has been trained and taught worldwide by military and law enforcement groups as well as civilian men and women.
Rather than focus on a series of special moves that have no foothold in reality or instill a paranoid "get them before they get you" mentality, the Red Zone Knife Defense Program focuses on a core set of realistic and effective skills and partners them with sound strategies and a strong appreciation for context. To tie all of this together, the Red Zone integrates progressive resistance in a variety of drills culminating in the ability to apply these strategies against full resistance and, most importantly, the ability to improvise and troubleshoot on the fly.
It was only a matter of time before the Red Zone and CMD programs officially merged. Both programs offer the latest in highly functional approaches to dealing with violence while at the same time maintaining a healthy and focused mindset. The technical platform from the Crazy Monkey Defense Program transfers smoothly and seamlessly with the Red Zone. Bottom line, if you are ever caught in a physical altercation, the CM program has the tools you need and if a weapon is presented, Red Zone will pick up right there. Once the weapon is out of play it's right back to the CM and resolving the altercation as the scenario dictates.
"I've personally been integrating the CM program into the Red Zone for years. I can't think of a better union."
- Jerry Wetzel, Creator Of The RZ Program and licensed CMD Coach
