COMBAT INTELLIGENT OFFICER PROGRAM
Today there are many L.E. Unarmed Programs on the mark et, but very few offer the benefits of the CMD L.E. Program. Most of these courses deal with Arrest and Control of suspects. While these are necessary skills to have for any police officer, the CMD-LEO Program is different as it deal with LEO’s who are physical attacked and need to survive that attack, when they have no option but to fight back, when immediate arrest is simply not possible. If you have ever watched the television show ‘what went wrong’ or ‘COPS’ you would routinely see police offers been physically attacked by suspects, where they are unable to retrieve their weapons in time and are often beaten or even killed. In the CMD-LEO Program we focus on teaching LEO’s how to survive those attacks in the shortest time possible.
Officers can progressively build up stress resistance, and develop honest working knowledge of how the concepts work in the real world or street environment. The majority of the CMD-LEO program utilizes gross motor movements, different ranges, as well as covering ground tactics, and controls. These are positive concepts for most police agencies, as the focus of the CMD-LEO program allows officers to control a subject rather than harm him or if need be escalate their own response to survive.
CMD teaches concepts that are based on real world experiences, in a way that is progressive, realistic, and safe to learn & allows officers to develop skill that work under pressure. It provides a structure that is grounded in defense, yet allows officers to develop the actual abilities and confidence they will need to deal with a subject who is passive, active or may fully assault an officer. CMD will fit into any current PDT or Arrest & Control program.
Most importantly we teach LEO’s the necessary mental game resiliency tools required to survive physical attacks and spend an equal amount of time drilling them during the training program.
TESTIMONY
I am a Police Officer, however am only 5 foot 3, weight 8 stone and have been training with CMD a little over a year. In so many cases, moves that I have learned have entirely saved me in situations that often see me up against one or more persons that are a lot bigger and stronger than me.
Also because I am female, they underestimate me in situations. Most people just try to squash me!
I am also trying to recruit more Officers into CMD for practical, non fussy system that everyone can remember in the chaos that is this job (and everyday life).
Thanks to everyone involved with CMD, especially the Manx Monkeys!

Rodney as a police officer I want to thank you for your devolvement of the CMD program. I have been an officer for 13 years and the defensive tactics that are being taught are geared towards suspects that aren’t really fighting. That is the 97 percent of the people we deal with. The CMD program allows officers to deal with the 3 percent that will do anything not to get caught including kill the officer. CMD teaches a solid defense first and that is very important in law enforcement. As cops we don’t usually start fights so we are reacting to an aggressors action, by having a solid defense it allows the officer to survive that worst?case scenario and get into the fight faster. At my department everything is based on BJJ and one needs to know that as well but for officer safety we need a system that allows the officer to stay on his feet so they can have a complete visual of their surroundings and be able to transition to other tools if needed. CMD gives that to law enforcement. Since I began training in the CMDP two years ago my fights with suspects have ended faster with less injury to the suspect. So once again thank you, your knowledge and foresight will be responsible for saving the lives of law enforcement officers.Cliff Byerly A Marine for over 20 years (12 active duties). "I recently had the privilege to train with Coach Rodney King from South Africa. As a law enforcement officer/trainer, I am constantly looking for functional defensive tactics training. I found Rodney's material to be very functional and easy to learn and well suited to law enforcement.
Rodney is an excellent coach of both physical and mental strategies, I highly encourage all Law Enforcement Officer’s to train with him."

"Rodney King teaches skills that every Law Enforcement Officer should know.He demonstrates how being off balance makes it easy for an attacker to push you around and ultimately knock you out. He shows the importance of being in balance by showing you proper stance and movement. His CM Defense system allows you to defeat attackers punches and to follow up with a combination of your own. Added to this Rodney's Three Point Cover helps protect you while pushing through attackers strikes to get into the clinch. Once in the clinch, Rodney shows you proper mechanics for delivery of devastating elbows, knee strikes, head butts, effective takedowns, and incapacitating chokes. Most importantly Rodney King has experimented with and proven that his tactics work, not in just a controlled training environment, but in the streets where it counts ."

"Today there are many L.E. Programs on the market, but very few offer the benefits of the CMD L.E. Program. As a Police officer and Provincial Police instructor I have had the chance to asses many of these programs. It is my opinion that CMD is a unique program, that is real, 100% functional & highly evolved.
Officers can progressively build up resistance, and develop honest working knowledge of how the concepts work in the real world or street environments. Also the majority of the program utilizes gross motor movements, different ranges, as well as covering ground tactics, and controls. These are positive concepts for most police agencies as the focus of CMD will allow officers to control a subject rather than harm him.

It provides a structure that is grounded in defence, yet allows officers to develop the actual abilities and confidence they will need to deal with a subject who is passive, active or full on assaulting the officer. CMD will fit into any current PDT or Arrest & control program, and safety is always an issue with the CMD trainers.
As a Police instructor I am absolutely delighted to see a program like CMD. It represents an evolution in Police training for Arrest and Control.
I challenge those who truly want the best possible training for themselves, and there officers to look at the CMD L.E. program. "
