We can all agree that in the martial arts, mental game is such an integral, if not the most important part of developing and deploying a successful game. No matter if you are in the ring, on the mat or find yourself in a self-preservation situation- mental game can mean the difference in winning or losing.

Ironically no one seems to pay much attention to mental game in most martial art settings, if they do, it is simply in passing discussion. While many martial art instructors may talk about ‘mental game’ they often have no idea how to develop a performance mind set in their clients.

Crazy Monkey Defence is different. Mental game training is at the corner stone of our program. From the way we coach, to the way we teach, it permeates everything we do. It is for this very reason that we talk about CMD as a vehicle to enable our clients to become champions not only on the mat, but also in life and career. What we teach on the mat really helps our clients perform at their best in life.

We are very proud to announce that through Rodney King’s hard work, the Crazy Monkey Defence as an ‘organization’ is now officially accredited by the International Mental Game Coaching Association.

In 2010 we will be unveiling the first of what we hope to be a series of Mental Game Coaching courses specifically designed and exclusive to CMD Trainers. While we have always trained all our Trainers in Mental Game coaching in face-to-face training, this will be our first official fully accredited ‘academic’ course of study.

Graduates of our Mental Game Coaching course will not only be able to advertise their certification (Dip-CMMG), but also will be accredited and become professional members of the IMGCA.
