This DVD introduces our hunchback stance approach and why we feel it is the best all round fighting stances for self-defense and mixed martial arts in general. The DVD then moves into core-footwork and how to use it, plus how to fix existing holes in your current footwork. Once you have this down, we believe you won’t need to learn another footwork sequence.

The DVD continues with detailed explanation of CM Phase 1, the corner stone of our fundamental stand-up game program. CM Phase 1 is simply how to develop a solid defense that will enable you to effectively strike back, but also when needed the ability to ride the storm of incoming strikes from aggressive opponent. This DVD also looks at our unique approach to straight-line punching, which we call the Diving Board. The Diving Board not only makes your strikes an offensive weapon, but also a defensive weapon at the same time. If you are not creating holes then there is nowhere for your opponent to attack into. The Diving Board will give you this advantage.

Finally we also look at the basics of combination theory and what makes a good combination!

This is the place to start if you want to learn boxing without getting hit in the head too much. In fact, if you were to walk into any of the gyms offering the Crazy Monkey Defense Program worldwide, this is pretty much what you would learn for the first couple of weeks. After each technique we get to see Rodney coaching two of his students, and correcting some of the most common mistakes. This is really great for driving home the lessons, and for me a way better way to learn than someone just telling you the what to avoid, but without you actually getting to see any real life examples. As usual Rodney finds a way of giving us new details and ways of thinking about our basic techniques that makes this a great buy even if you have been training in his system for couple of years. God is in the details as they say!Canīt wait to see the next volumes in this series!

My only problem with the DVD, is that as a CMD Trainer, I could be out of a job!!This DVD is the best DVD, in my opinion, to indroduce people to the Crazy Monkey Defence Program. It is concise and no words are wasted (Do not confuse this for being short or basic, your head will be fried matrix style).There is so much in this that youll need to review over and over again. And even though I have been a trainer in the CMD for nearly 2 years, I still got alot out of it.Also as trainer, you can pick up new ways of coaching the material through Rodneys side line coaching sewn effortly into the mix.The quality of this production is of an extremely high standard, as it was shot in Rodneys own private studio and all the coaching is directed towards the camera. This tied together with editing and production by Ronin09 makes for sweet viewing.
